What sort of choir are we?
We are a choir with roots in the acapella tradition, so in our concerts we sing mainly unaccompanied songs, and without scores. In recent years we have introduced instruments for some songs; keyboard, drums, and accordion.
We've used the accordion for 'Fairy tale of New York', a choir favourite.
For learning and rehearsals we provide audio clips, word sheets and scores. Most songs are arranged in four-part harmony - soprano, alto, tenor and bass. In the tenor section we have lady tenors as well as men.
