About Us

             Songs and Learning Material

We provide learning material to suit a range of learning styles.
This includes audio clips for all parts, word sheets and scores.
They can be accessed on-line, and/or downloaded.

What to expect as a choir member?

Rehearsals are from 8pm to 10pm on a Thursday evening, with a tea/coffee break at 9.00pm. You have to be quick if you like ginger and dark chocolate biscuits! Expect lots of fun, warm-up exercises, big smiles and a good energising  vocal workout;  and afterwards an opportunity to socialise  at a local pub.

                              Where do we perform?

We hold two formal concerts every year, one at Christmas and one in mid-summer, where we showcase the repertoire that we have learned that year. These usually take place in a local church where we welcome friends, family and members of the public.

In between, we manage to fit in performances at many other local venues including Hampton Court Palace, Polesden Lacey, Painshill Park, Claremont landscape garden, and Riverhouse Barn arts centre.
We also like to take part in the annual Beaconsfield Choir Festival and have sung at the South Bank Arts Festival.

What do we expect from Choir members ?

To attend most choir sessions during the term, and practice their parts at home (or on the move). The audio parts are available through Dropbox so can be listened to on smartphones and tablets, as well as on desktops.

To know your part and words in time for the next concert, because we perform without words or scores.

To be supportive of your fellow singers and to remember that Earthly Voices is run by volunteers and be prepared to help out as the need arises.
What are the fees, and when is term time?

£110 per term, £95 concessions.
Concessionary rate if on state pension or income support,

Term dates tend to run in line with state school holidays and include a half term.
